First of all, thank you for visiting my website. My name is Juan González Pérez, and I've been working as a technical translator and proofreader since 2007.
Since I was little, I started messing around with dictionaries, glossaries, and books in English and French.
Being able to "decipher" texts written in other languages seemed magical to me, and languages were my favorite subjects, along with chemistry and mathematics.
When it came to choosing a degree, I opted for Chemical Engineering, although English was always a constant companion along the way. In fact, I wrote my final project in that language during an Erasmus program in Ghent, Belgium.
Afterward, my career began, and after working at companies in sectors such as wastewater treatment, chemistry, and metallurgy, I passed the exam to become an Occupational Risk Prevention Technician.
In many of these positions, I happened to be "the one who knew English." This allowed me to translate extensive technical documentation and perform interpretation and sales liaison duties with clients outside of Spain.
All of this made me realize the gaps in technical translation and that I could contribute my experience to this field. So, I decided to enter the world, and my first projects soon followed.
For a few years, I combined my freelance work with my freelance adventure. However, the number of projects and clients grew, and in 2012 I decided to take the final leap and focus my efforts on my work as a translator.
A few years have passed since then, and I'm proud to continue working with the same dedication as the first day and to continue to enjoy the trust of my clients.
Since 2007, I have collaborated with various direct clients and translation agencies located in different countries (including Germany, Belgium, the Netherlands, France, the United Kingdom, the United States, and, of course, Spain).
User, installation, and maintenance manuals for various products, devices, and equipment.
Catalogs and promotional materials for various industrial components and equipment: pumps, valves, heating systems, robotic systems, etc.
Automotive: Manuals, catalogs, work rules, troubleshooting procedures, promotional materials, etc., for vehicle and tire manufacturers.

Medicine and the pharmaceutical industry: registration files for drugs, surgical instruments, blood analyzers, etc.
Watchmaking: product descriptions and technical specifications, commercial catalogues, etc.
Quality and environmental management.
Safety and health at work.
The optimal solution for each client varies depending on parameters such as the purpose and nature of the document in question or the target audience.
There are also certain considerations, such as the volume of the text or confidentiality obligations, that may make some of the available solutions more or less advisable in each case.
Below you can find a non-exhaustive list of my services:

On certain occasions, it may be necessary to have a team of professional translators, rather than a single translator. For this reason, I also coordinate projects that involve a small network of professional and trained translators to provide quality services in the relevant languages.
